We invite you to join the Ohio Hospital Association and your fellow health care colleagues for our 111th Annual Meeting and Educational Summit. This three-day event brings together multidisciplinary professionals from OHA member hospitals and health systems to inspire creative thinking, share innovative approaches, provide professional continuing education and collaborate on priority issues affecting Ohio hospitals. The OHA Annual Meeting offers a dynamic setting for members to learn, exchange ideas, network with peers, spark new thinking and gain insights that strengthen their organizations and the communities they serve.

Jon Carmichael
“The Eclipse Mindset: How to Break Barriers, Adapt, Innovate, and Create History”
Jon Carmichael is a New York-based astrophotographer and pilot, recognized for his 2017 total solar eclipse photograph, "108". This image, a panoramic stitch of over 1,000 photographs, was captured from a Southwest Airlines flight at 39,000 feet over the Snake River and unveiled at Twitter's headquarters.
Carmichael, who developed an interest in astronomy in seventh grade, uses photography to reveal unseen celestial features, employing unique techniques for detail and color accuracy. He has photographed for celebrities and is a significant collector of Elton John's work.
Based in Las Vegas, Carmichael was noted by George Takei for his Inspiration4 application, aspiring to be the first openly gay man in space.

OHA Recognition Dinner

OHA’s annual Recognition Dinner is a time-honored tradition for OHA and member hospitals. Held Wednesday evening during the OHA Annual Meeting in Columbus, this special recognition event celebrates the excellence of hospital caregivers and health care leaders from across the state. During the event, we will honor the nominees, finalists and the honoree for OHA’s Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award and present OHA’s Health Care Leadership Award.
Attendees must register for the Recognition Dinner separately from the main conference this year.

CNO Roundtable

This interactive luncheon will provide an opportunity for chief nursing officers and associate chief nursing officers from Ohio hospitals/health systems to network and learn. Participants will gain insight into the current issues impacting nursing education and practice in Ohio, including strategies to facilitate a successful transition to practice, innovation in nursing education, strengthening partnerships, workforce development and the future of nursing education.

Energy, Infrastructure & Innovation Summit - CELL Lunch Activity

OHA encourages you to join us for the CELL (Carbon Emissions Learning Lab) Activity, presented by the International Hospital Federation. This interactive session includes a boxed lunch.
During this engaging learning simulation, you and a small team will work together to manage a hospital environment and explore various sustainability initiatives, experimenting with the operational and environmental impacts of your decisions in real time. This is a live, interactive session, and we must provide an accurate head count in advance. If possible, we encourage you to bring your laptop to fully participate in the simulation.

If you require hotel accommodations at the Hyatt Regency, please make room reservations by using the hotel reservation link here to receive OHA’s special conference room rate of $205.00 (+ taxes) per night.
The cut-off date to receive the special conference rate is Friday, April 24. Requests received after this date will be accepted on a space available basis. The hotel prevailing rack rates will apply.
Please note a first night deposit is required and will be charged to your credit card. Please make your reservations quickly, as the group block fills up very early. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.
Cancellation Policy — If you are unable to attend the conference, you are responsible for calling the hotel directly to cancel your reservation. The Hyatt Regency has a 48-hour cancellation policy. (Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to your arrival date to avoid the loss of your first night’s deposit.) The hotel will charge your credit card for being a no-show.
For those staying overnight at the venue, the Chestnut Street garage (44 E. Chestnut, 43215) offers the option to charge the parking to your room. The South parking garage (50 E. Nationwide Blvd., 43215) is also available.
OHA has arranged a $25 per day rate at the surface lot on the east side of the hotel (80 E. Nationwide Blvd., 43215) that you can schedule and pay ahead at this app.
