Explore Ohio Opportunities
Hospitals are collaborating with educational partners across Ohio to build more pathways to careers.
School to Work
The School to Work Program at TriHealth gives Cincinnati Public School students the opportunity to achieve real-life health care experience with many opportunities to succeed. This program allows students better exposure and a way to understand first-hand what careers in health care they may want to pursue in college. The program also prepares students over two years to transition into a part-time or full-time position at TriHealth.
Free Nursing Education
Akron Children’s Hospital and the University of Akron have partnered to address the nursing shortage by offering a free Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, or ADN, degree through the Akron Children’s Career Launch Program. Starting in January 2025, 30 students will receive prepaid tuition, along with funding for uniforms, books and supplies, in exchange for a 2-3-year work commitment at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Doubling Opportunities
Columbus State Community College has kicked off construction of OhioHealth Hall, the new academic building that will enable the college to double the number of graduates in high-demand health care fields.
