OHA Members Receive Grants for Pediatric Cancer Research

The new state budget signed this summer includes $5 million in grants to support pediatric cancer research at five hospitals, including OHA members Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic and Dayton Children’s Hospital, as well as Maple Tree Cancer Alliance.
Gov. Mike DeWine announced the funding this past week, highlighting the importance of advancing life-saving research for children. The grants aim to expand studies on early detection and treatment of pediatric cancers, including a blood test being developed at Nationwide Children’s to detect cancer before symptoms appear.
