Last Chance! Submit Health Care Worker of the Year Nominations by Monday

OHA’s window for 2026 Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year nominations closes Monday, Dec. 15. The annual award honors the excellence of front-line health care workers who are employees of OHA member hospitals and health systems and recognizes one outstanding individual who:

  • Routinely goes beyond the call of duty
  • Daily reflects the mission and values of their organization
  • Notably gives back to the community

The honor will be presented at the OHA Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, during OHA’s 111th Annual Meeting & Education Summit, May 19-21 at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. All nominees will be recognized on social media leading up to the dinner, then celebrated throughout the evening event where finalists and the ultimate recipient will be announced.

Presentation Proposals for OHA Annual Meeting Due New Year’s Eve

Presentation proposals for the OHA Annual Meeting must be submitted by Wednesday, Dec. 31. OHA is seeking evidence-based presentations, case studies and practical tools that address current issues facing Ohio hospitals. Submissions will be reviewed by committees of hospital leaders and subject matter experts, with a focus on relevance, clarity and real-world applicability.

Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit proposals aligned with one of the event’s designated educational tracks. OHA is especially interested in receiving additional proposals within these tracks:

Days 1 & 2

  • Rural Hospital Health Care
  • Public & Media Relations/Government Relations

Day 3: Energy, Infrastructure & Innovation Summit

  • Energy & Sustainability
  • Facilities Management
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Financial/ Operating Budget
