New At-Home Test Offers Ohioans 1-Step Screening for Flu, COVID-19, RSV

Ohio families now have a new at-home test that checks for the flu, COVID-19 and RSV all at once, making it easier to understand what may be causing symptoms like fever, cough or congestion. The Flowflex Plus 4-in-1 test, recently announced by ACON Laboratories, is available at major retailers such as CVS and Walgreens. It is the first FDA-cleared home test for these illnesses approved for use in children as young as 6 months.

Knowing which illness is involved can help families decide when to seek medical care or take steps to protect others, especially infants, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Health experts note that RSV remains a leading reason young children are hospitalized, making early detection especially important.

Team Tressel Fitness Challenge Expands to 1,300 Ohio Schools

The second round of the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge has launched in 1,376 Ohio schools, engaging more than 390,000 students in a 30-day program focused on fitness, nutrition and sleep. Led by Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel, the initiative encourages students in grades three through eight to set SMART goals while building lifelong healthy habits. The challenge is part of Gov.
