Central Ohio Hospital CEOs to Headline Columbus Opportunity Summit

As National Nurses Week approaches May 6-12, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership is offering resources to help organizations recognize and celebrate nurse leaders. This year’s theme, “Leadership in Every Moment,” highlights the impact nurses have across all areas of care, from guiding teams through challenges to improving patient outcomes. AONL is encouraging hospitals to use its tools and programming to spotlight the contributions of nurse leaders in both large milestones and everyday interactions. The 30th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration hosts Drug Take Back Day to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Bowling Green State University and Lake Erie College have launched a new partnership aimed at expanding graduate education opportunities in health and human performance fields. The agreement creates a pathway for Lake Erie students in exercise science and related programs to pursue advanced degrees in athletic training, physical therapy and occupational therapy at BGSU. The collaboration is designed to strengthen Ohio’s health care workforce and provide students with clearer routes to in-demand careers.
