Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center has become the first hospital in the region to be officially recognized as a “Pediatric Ready” designated emergency department through the Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children Pediatric Readiness Facility Recognition Program. OHA member Mercer Health welcomed nearly 800 kindergarten students during its annual “Play Hospital” program, held April 24-30, offering a hands-on introduction to health care.
