Grand Lake Health System Announces May Community Events

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center has become the first hospital in the region to be officially recognized as a “Pediatric Ready” designated emergency department through the Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children Pediatric Readiness Facility Recognition Program. The designation is valid through February 2029 and reflects St. Rita’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centered emergency care. Read more

OHA member Mercer Health welcomed nearly 800 kindergarten students during its annual “Play Hospital” program, held April 24-30, offering a hands-on introduction to health care. The initiative brings students from Mercer County and surrounding communities into the hospital for interactive learning in a kid-friendly setting. Read more

Forbes has named 600 companies to its 2026 Best Employers for Company Culture list, including five OHA member hospitals. Nationwide Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, OhioHealth and Dayton Children's Hospital were recognized on the national list.
