Overview

The presenters will provide an overview of current U.S. Immigration enforcement policies and their impact on hospitals and health care providers, including the rights and responsibilities of health care providers when faced with ICE activity, what to expect during an immigration raid, and patient privacy considerations.

Learning Objectives:

• Discuss key U.S. immigration enforcement policies and gain an understanding of how such policies can affect hospitals and other health care settings.
• Discuss the legal rights and obligations of health care providers when faced with an ICE raid.
• Learn how to apply best practices for responding to an ICE raid while maintaining patient safety and privacy.
