Save the Date: Locations Set for Fall OHA Professional Society Conferences

OHA has announced dates and locations for several fall conferences for our professional societies, bringing together health care leaders from across Ohio.

  • The Ohio Society of Health Care Risk Managers and Society for Ohio Health Care Attorneys Fall Conference will take place Sept. 25 at the Quest Conference Center.
  • The Ohio Society for Health Care Facilities Management Fall Conference will take place Oct. 15 at the Quest Conference Center.
  • The Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership Fall Conference will be held Nov. 4-6 at the Renaissance Hotel Westerville.

CGS Medicare Offers March Webinar Series on Billing, Appeals, Compliance

CGS Medicare is offering a series of free educational webinars throughout March to help hospitals and providers strengthen Medicare billing, compliance and appeals processes. Sessions will cover topics including improving the Medicare appeals process, Medicare Secondary Payer billing and common claim errors, Recovery Audit Contractor navigation, and the basics of Direct Data Entry. Additional programs will address disclosure requirements, Medicare fundamentals and updates to the myCGS portal. Final Workforce Lunch & Learn to Focus on Recruitment, Retention Strategies March 10

OHA will host the sixth and final session of our Workforce Lunch & Learn series from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. March 10. The webinar, “Predicting and Hiring for Attrition: A Best Practice for Recruitment and Retention for Nurse and Human Resources Leaders,” will highlight practical approaches to workforce planning and retention amid ongoing staffing challenges. Nominate Rising Leaders for AHA Next Gen fellowship by March 31

Nominations are being accepted until March 31 for the 2027 class of the AHA Next Generation Leaders Fellowship. Hospitals and health systems are encouraged to nominate their most promising leaders who are five to 10 years away from the C-suite to participate in the program which focuses on developing the next generation of health care leadership.
