OHA’s Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award honors the excellence of front-line health care workers and is presented each year to one Ohio caregiver from one of our member hospitals who routinely goes beyond the call of duty, daily reflects the mission and values of their organization, and notably gives back to the community. The award will be presented at OHA’s 111th Annual Meeting & Education Summit and the deadline to submit a nomination in Nov. 30. The Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership invites members and Ohio nurse leaders to attend the in-person fall conference. The three-day program kicks off Nov. 5 at a new venue this year -- the Renaissance Hotel in Westerville The conference schedule includes a pre-conference session, one-and-a-half days of educational programming, evidence-based poster presentations, two keynote sessions, awards presentation, CNO roundtable breakfast and OONL updates. Joel Delavern, Plant Operations director at Avita Health System, was honored with the Ohio Society for Health Care Facilities Managers' Eagle Award Thursday at the annual OSHFM Fall Conference in Westerville. The award recognizes recognizes a facility manager or staff member who has demonstrated outstanding performance, leadership, unique service or significant contributions in energy efficiency, health care facilities management, plant engineering, design/construction, security, safety, clinical engineering and/or telecommunications.
