Ohio Legalizes Fentanyl Test Strips

Gov. Mike DeWine signed an executive order earlier this month that aims to decrease the number of drug related deaths. The Ohio Board of Pharmacy is now able to legalize drug testing tools to combat overdose in the state. These testers can detect a number of drugs, such as fentanyl, xylazine, medetomidine, benzimidazole-opioids. This order allows the Board of Pharmacy to use certain tools on the condition it proves it will lower drug poisoning.
