Ohio Releases Mental Health Awareness Month Toolkit, Resources

Gov. Mike DeWine has declared May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Ohio, with the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health and RecoveryOhio launching a free digital toolkit to promote awareness, reduce stigma and connect Ohioans with support services.
The toolkit includes downloadable graphics, social media resources, mental health tips, stigma-reduction videos and information about the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which has handled more than 836,000 contacts in Ohio since launching in 2022.
Resources also highlight RecoveryOhio’s Pledge to End Stigma, the Ohio Suicide Prevention Toolkit and guidance for employers participating in the Ohio Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative. Access the toolkit and resources here.
