OHA Calls for 2026 Annual Meeting Presentation Proposals Due Dec. 13

OHA is accepting presentation proposals for its 111th Annual Meeting & Education Summit, scheduled for May 19-21, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. The three-day forum brings together hospital and health system leaders from across Ohio to share knowledge, explore innovations and collaborate on pressing issues. Sessions will be 60 minutes and should align with one of the following tracks:

  • Workforce Wellness
  • Workforce Strategy/Human Resources
  • Nursing Practice & Leadership
  • Clinical Quality
  • Hospital Leadership (Executive and Physician)
  • Rural Hospital Health Care
  • Finance & Payer Relations
  • Legal & Compliance
  • Risk Management
  • Public & Media Relations/Government Relations

Proposals are due Dec. 13 and will be evaluated for relevance, timeliness and presenter expertise. Submit a proposal through this link. For more information, contact Casey Strader at casey.strader@ohiohospitals.org.

Toledo-Lucas County Health Department to Host Grant Writing Workshop Oct. 7-8

The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department and Grant Writing USA will host a two-day grant writing workshop Oct. 7-8. The training is open to grant seekers of all experience levels from government agencies, schools, universities and nonprofits. Participants will learn how to prepare competitive government grant proposals and identify available funding opportunities. Oct. 1 Deadline Approaching for First Steps Program Recognition

The deadline for hospitals to submit applications for the Ohio First Steps for Healthy Babies program, an OHA initiative, in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Breastfeeding Alliance and the Ohio Lactation Consultant Association, is Oct. 1. The program recognizes maternity centers in Ohio for taking steps to promote, protect and support breastfeeding in their organization. Read more about the program and application process here.
