Grand Lake January Event Schedule Includes Screenings, Health Challenge

Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital & Medical Campus is celebrating the one year anniversary of bringing care to the area. This celebration, set to take place from 12-3 p.m. April 25, will feature raffles, Touch-a-Truck vehicles, ice cream and Ask-a-Doc stations for attendees to ask health related questions and receive health screenings. OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital is beginning its expansion of the Emergency Department and an additional inpatient unit. This $65 million investment is bringing 28 emergency care rooms, a second resuscitation room, an additional triage room, 12 inpatient beds and more. Wooster Community Hospital and Ohio State University Extension are hosting four "Dinning with Diabetes" sessions to educate anyone with diabetes-related concerns on nutrition and diet management. The classes will focus on living with diabetes, carbohydrates, heart health, vitamins, fiber and more. The sessions occur every  Tuesday in May from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the hospital, with a cost of $25 per person. Read more

Parkview Bryan Hospital will host a Check-Up Day on March 26 from 7-9:30 a.m., offering community members convenient access to a range of lab testing services. The event is designed to improve access to preventive care and early detection. Participants can choose from individual tests and bundled packages, including screenings for iron levels, vitamin B12, thyroid function and complete blood counts. Read more
