ODH to Host June 13 Webinar on Measles Risk, Prevention

The American Hospital Association is inviting hospitals and health systems to join in its #HAVhope campaign to raise awareness for Hospitals Against Violence. The ninth annual national day of awareness for the cause is next Friday, June 6, and AHA has provided hospitals with a multitude of resources for the occasion. The National Grange, a 150-year-old rural advocacy group, has launched a new 30-second ad urging Congress to protect health care access in rural communities. The spot highlights the critical role Medicaid and health care tax credits play in ensuring coverage for rural patients. The ad is part of a broader campaign responding to recent discussions around potential Medicaid cuts. Thank you to the more than 1,000 attendees at OHA’s Annual Meeting & Education Summit this past week. As a reminder, to receive any continuing education credits for – AHIMA, ASHE, CHHR, CLE, CPE, CPHQ, CPHRM, HRCI, Nursing and/or SHRM – you must complete the corresponding online evaluation for the sessions you attended during the annual meeting. The American Society for Health Care Engineering has named the winners of its 2025 Vista Awards, honoring excellence in health care construction and renovation. OHA member MetroHealth received the New Construction award for The Glick Center, a sustainable acute care hospital designed to improve operational efficiency and patient care. AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas earned the Renovation award for its modernization of a decades-old facility.
