Expand Your Knowledge of Medicare Quality Programs in 2-Part Webinar Series

As part of OHA’s continued commitment to provide valuable education and insights for our members, we are pleased to partner with DataGen to offer a two-part webinar series focused on helping hospitals navigate and understand key CMS quality programs:

  • Hospital Value-Based Purchasing, or VBP
  • Hospital Readmission Reduction Program, or HRRP
  • Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program, or HAC

These sessions from 10-11 a.m. July 10 and July 17 will offer an in-depth look at CMS methodologies, how to interpret your DataGen reports and understand the impact of these programs at the hospital and state levels. We encourage all members to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their understanding and strategic response to these important programs.

"These Halls" demonstrates how Congress’s proposed billions of dollars in Medicaid cuts would impact all Americans – resulting in fewer services, closed hospitals, crowded emergency departments and longer wait times across the U.S. Medicaid covers children, seniors in nursing homes, veterans, people with long-term chronic illnesses, those with mental health issues and working families. 2 Amended CMS Obstetric Requirements Effective July 1

Two of several Conditions of Participation, or CoPs, focused on obstetrical services finalized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services last fall will be effective beginning July 1. Through a phased-in process, hospitals will need to meet several new requirements in five major sections: Organization Staff training Quality assessment and performance improvement Emergency services readiness Transfer protocols Requirements for emergency services readiness and transfer protocols have an effective date of July 1. Updates for these two areas are modifications to existing CoPs, and the remaining categories are entirely new. OHA Member Presenting on Leadership Strategies for Sepsis Program Success

Join the American Hospital Association's Living Learning Network and the CDC for an engaging panel discussion with hospital leaders, including OHA member Michelle Evans, Sepsis Program Coordinator, Summa Health, as they explore the essential role of multidisciplinary collaboration in successful sepsis programs.
