OHA Partner to Host Webinar Showcasing Management System for Health Care

Ohio hospitals earned strong marks in the 2025-26 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, with facilities across the state recognized among the nation’s top performers in multiple specialties. Cleveland Clinic was again named to the publication’s Best Hospitals Honor Roll, placing among the top 20 hospitals nationwide. Other highly ranked Ohio hospitals included The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, The Christ Hospital and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Statewide, hospitals achieved top 50 rankings in areas such as cancer, cardiology, neurology, rehabilitation, rheumatology and more. View the full rankings here.

Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel have declared August as Ohio Breastfeeding Awareness Month to align with National Breastfeeding Month. This year’s observance follows the World Breastfeeding Week theme, “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems,” emphasizing the need for stronger community and workplace support. OHA and the Ohio Department of Health’s Ohio First Steps for Healthy Babies program recognizes Ohio maternity hospitals that support breastfeeding. A recent donation from the Farmer Family Foundation aims to strengthen Cincinnati’s nursing workforce pipeline, particularly in neuroscience care. The funding establishes the Farmer Family Fund in Neuroscience Nursing, offering tuition reimbursement to University of Cincinnati College of Nursing graduates who launch their careers at UC Health and commit to at least three years in neurology practice. The initiative addresses a nationwide nursing shortage by combining financial incentives with specialized training, ensuring a steady supply of highly skilled nurses. Learn more here.

Registration is now open for the 2025 OSHRM-SOHA Fall Conference, set for Sept. 26 at a new location — the Embassy Suites, 2700 Corporate Exchange Dr., Columbus.
