Belmont College in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital have partnered to strengthen the college’s radiology program and expand clinical and job opportunities for students. The updated program, launching this summer, includes a revised curriculum and new interim director Jennifer Bond, who also serves as Radiology director at Wheeling Hospital. College leaders say the collaboration addresses the region’s growing demand for radiologic technologists. Students will now train in a major local hospital where many are expected to work after graduation. The partnership aims to support student success and build a stable local workforce. With measles cases on the rise in the U.S., the American Medical Association, or AMA, and Centers for Disease Control will host a free webinar for health care professionals at 11 a.m. May 15. The session will cover key topics including current measles trends, clinical identification, vaccination importance and infection control strategies. Attendees can register and submit questions in advance through the AMA Ed Hub.

The Ohio Rural Health Association will host the 2025 Ohio Rural Health Conference Aug. 7-8 at Miami University, bringing together health care professionals, educators, students, policymakers and community leaders focused on advancing rural health.
