Save the Date for Mock Trial Session, Limited Spots Available

Health care risk managers are invited to join the Ohio Hospital Association and Ohio Society of Health Care Risk Mangers for a mock trial session from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Ohio Union at Ohio State University to gain a better understanding of the trial process and examine how the legal process affects a health care professional.
Jeff Maloon, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Julia Turner, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Karl Schedler, Ohio Attorney General’s Office (retired), current state hearings officer for cases involving multiple state entities, will demonstrate what happens before and during an actual trial. Hospital and health law attorneys, outside counsel, directors of quality management, compliance officers, nurses, allied health professional and physicians also are encouraged to attend.
The cost to attend is $35 per person. Attendance is limited to 125 participants.
