Dial in for OHA’s Oct. 18 Statewide Sepsis Call

10/06/2017

Cleveland Clinic’s Anita Reddy, MD, Caroline Armstrong, RN, and Rebecca Rosario, RN, will join the Ohio Hospital Association Institute for Health Innovation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to present this month’s Statewide Sepsis Initiative webinar and education call.

The presentation will provide an overview of conduction sepsis case reviews.

The OHA Institute for Health Innovation hosts monthly webinars and education calls for member hospitals participating in the statewide sepsis initiative. More than 120 OHA member hospitals have committed to the initiative to reduce severe sepsis and septic shock mortality by 30 percent over the next two years. The initiative strategies include early recognition and early appropriate intervention.

Sepsis is also a focus of OHA’s Hospital Improvement and Innovation Network through the national Partnership for Patients program, and builds on OHA’s 2014 efforts to facilitate rapid cycle improvement in sepsis care through the Leading Edge Advance Practice Topics program.

All OHA member hospitals are invited to participate in the statewide sepsis initiative. The initiative leverages data that is already submitted by Ohio hospitals and there is no fee for hospitals to participate. For more information about the initiative, or how to join, visit ohiohospitals.org/sepsis.
