The Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership, or OONL, is a state organization of nurse leaders serving as the catalyst for innovative health care in Ohio and the nation. As the recognized center of excellence for clinical leadership, OONL is committed to enhancing health care through education, technology, research, consulting, networking and information sharing.

Become a Member

Registered nurses employed by an OHA member hospital or health system, OHA associate members, or OHA corporate partners are eligible to be full members, associate members or honorary members.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – 2019 OONL Fall Conference
The 46th annual Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership Conference will be held November 13-15, 2019 at Doubletree Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The conference will feature numerous nursing leaders working in a variety of environments, as well as highlight the best evidence-based nursing practices from different healthcare organizations in Ohio. This year’s theme is “Aspire Higher.”
OONL members are invited to submit an abstract for an educational POSTER or PODIUM presentation. Categories for presentations include: 
  • Research
  • Evidence Based Practice / Quality Improvement
  • Patient / Worker Safety
  • Patient Experience
  • Staff Engagement and the Practice Environment
  • Nursing Innovation

Required items for each include:

OONL Awards

The Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership each year recognizes emerging nurse leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership, possess a desire to advance and progress professionally, inspire others and support projects and initiatives outside the clinical realm.
